About stencilfolio
Free printable tattoo stencils, outlines and flash. The drawings are made with AI and checked by people before they go on the site.
§1Who is behind it
The site is run by the stencilfolio editors. There are no personal author profiles here and no named tattoo artists, because the drawings do not come from a tattooer’s portfolio. We are not a tattoo studio and we do not give professional tattooing advice.
§2How a design is made
- Generate. An AI image generator produces a batch of candidate drawings for a motif.
- Pick. An editor keeps the usable drawings and throws the rest away. Anything with broken anatomy, garbled lettering or a muddy contour does not go in.
- Clean the line. The contour is redrawn as a clean vector line, so it prints sharp at any size.
- Size check. Each PDF is checked to come out at the size you set, with a 1 inch test square on every sheet so you can confirm it on your own printer.
Each design is then saved in three formats: a mirrored stencil, an outline and a color flash sheet.
§3The AI label
Every drawing is marked as AI-generated on the page where it appears. The PDF and PNG files carry the same label in their metadata, including the IPTC digital source type “trained algorithmic media”. We do not strip these labels, and we ask you not to strip them if you share a file.
§4What you will not find here
No photos of real tattoos on real people, no characters from films, games or comics, no brand logos, and no copies of a named artist’s work. If a drawing reminds you of existing work, tell us and we will look at it.
§5Using the files
The files are free for personal use, and a tattoo artist can use them for a client. Reselling the files or putting them on merchandise is not allowed. The details are in the terms of use.
